Remember When..
As a child, the biggest dilemma is whether you wanted Froot Loops or Captain Crunch for breakfast. Or deciding which coloring sheet you wanted. But even now, I feel I have faced so many issues tht I probably could not even have fathomed as a kid. I miss tht. Everyone was your best friend. Naps were required, and snacks were the highlight of the day. Now you can barely trust anyone, you'd be lucky to get 5 hours a night and snacks aren't really your friend. Granted we don't understand much as kids and simply wanted ppl to stop treating us "like kids." Yet honestly, if I had the choice I'd want to have tht mindset for a lifetime. Cutoff from all the stress tht comes w/ growing up. And it just seems like the kid stage is being cut shorter and shorter, but if only those kids knew what was in store for them they'd hold on to their Barbie's and monster trucks for as long as can, because this world is filled with hard decisions and you can't go back..
Do I Have To??
When two ppl decide to have sex. It is their decision, and sometimes, the girl winds up pregnant. They/ she may decide to either keep it or even abort the fetus. But who's to say tht this baby wants to be born? Nobody ever asked the baby's opinion..sure maybe tht's impossible but still. When you buy something, there is a mutual agreement tht you want whtever it is and tht they are willing to sell it to you. But when kids are born, they don't know anything about what they're getting into. And is tht really fair? Say you walk into a restaurant and there are rats just running around having a nice old time. What would you do? Leave right. Yet, when a kid is brought into a household and there are rats or whtever creatures running around, they must endure it because there "parents" deem tht suitable for them. Granted as kids, they can't really tell what is best, but shouldn't somehow they have options. Like no one ever asked me if I wanted to born, if I liked the circumstances of which I was raised, or to say the least if I wanted to live. Some may say tht is "just how it works" but just because you want a job doesn't mean you'll just get it..it's called the interview process
